How to Connect to #shemmy on Rizon IRC

Welcome! This guide covers both web and client methods, optional nickname registration, and how to contact an operator for an account.

Connecting via Web Client

1. Go to https://www.rizon.net/chat.
2. Enter a nickname of your choice.
3. Type #shemmy in the "Channel" field.
4. Click "Connect" to join.

Connecting via an IRC Client

If you prefer an IRC client (e.g., HexChat, mIRC, or irssi):

1. Open your client and add the server details:
   • Server: irc.rizon.net
   • Port: 6667 (or 6697 for SSL)
2. Connect to the server, then type: /join #shemmy

Contacting an Operator for an Account

If you need an account, PM an operator in the channel (they usually have an @ symbol by their name).

1. Type: /msg operator_nickname Your message here (replace operator_nickname with their nickname).

Registering Your Nickname (Optional)

To secure your nickname, you can register it:

1. Type the following command, replacing your_password with a chosen password and [email protected] with your own email: /msg NickServ REGISTER your_password [email protected]
2. Check your email for a confirmation message and follow the instructions.
